Fabric & Care
Why Italian Fabrics
At Áyang, we believe that a garment begins with its fabric.
We source carefully selected fabrics from Italy, a country with a long tradition of textile craftsmanship and material innovation. Many of our fabrics come from small mills and suppliers that have spent decades refining their expertise.
Rather than following fast-moving trends, we focus on materials that feel comfortable, age beautifully, and become more personal with time.
The fabric is often the first thing you notice when wearing a garment—and the part you remember long after.
Limited Meterage
Many of our fabrics are sourced in limited quantities.
These fabrics may be remaining stock from previous collections, small production runs, or unique materials that are no longer being manufactured.
Because availability is limited, some styles may never be reproduced once sold out.
We see this limitation as part of the beauty of the process. Every fabric has an ending, and every garment carries a story that cannot be endlessly repeated.
Care Instructions
To help your garments last longer, we recommend:
• Machine wash cold (maximum 40°C)
• Wash with similar colours
• Do not bleach
• Hang dry in the shade
• Iron at low temperature (maximum 110°C)
• Dry cleaning is optional
Natural fabrics become softer and more comfortable over time when cared for properly.
Linen Characteristics
Linen is one of the oldest and most valued natural fibres in the world.
Known for its breathability, durability, and ability to regulate temperature, linen performs particularly well in warm and humid climates.
Its relaxed texture and natural movement create a sense of ease that cannot be replicated by synthetic materials.
Linen becomes softer with every wash while maintaining its strength and character.
Natural Wrinkles
Wrinkles are a natural characteristic of linen.
Rather than a flaw, they are part of the fabric’s charm and reflect the relaxed nature of the material.
We embrace these natural creases as a reminder that clothing is meant to be worn, travelled in, and lived in.
Like a well-read book or a favourite chair, linen develops its own personality over time.
At Áyang, we believe perfection is not always the goal. Comfort, character, and authenticity matter more.
